Regional Innovation Strategy:Site Visit to Nehir Biotechnology company

In the context of Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy , Nehir Biotechnology company, which works on chip in health field in Ankara, was visited on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. The compony focuses on the production of microfluidic chips, fittings and microfluidic chip chemicals. The state of the sector was discussed in the meeting.

Medical Devices Working Group 1st Meeting

The first meeting of the Medical Devices Working Group, which was established within the scope of Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy, was held on 28 August 2018 Tuesday in the Ankara Development Agency. In this context, many representatives from the Ministry of Industry and Technology, Medical Devices and Drug Administration, Ankara University and Başkent University Technology Transfer Centers, Ostim Medical Cluster, Healthcare Industries Employers Union met with the experts of our Agency. After the presentation of the activities and works carried out since the beginning of the Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy, a presentation was presented by the experts of the Ministry of Industry and Technology to introduce the Entrepreneur Information System. The meeting was terminated by taking the opinions of the parties regarding the continuation of the study more effectively.

Regional Innovation Strategy: Site visit to MTK company

MTK, a company operating in the work and construction machinery sector, was visited on 10 July 2018. MTK, which has been operating since 2002, produces spare parts. During the visit,  sector-related legislation, domestic foreign trade, competitiveness, human resources, economic and financial structure, stakeholders, technology R&D, innovation, sales and marketing and and the problems and needs of the sector were discussed.

Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy: Site visit to Paragon company

Paragon Inc., operating in the work and construction machinery sector was visited on 14 August 2018. Paragon, a company operating in construction machinery sector, started to provide service with its specially designed products to its customers after 1999. It provides versatile solutions using hydraulic equipment in Repair Maintenance Vehicles, which includes complete solutions for municipalities in particular. In the meeting, evaluations were made on the past and the future of the work and construction machinery sector in Ankara and the problems and needs in the sector were emphasized.

Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy: Site visit to Göçmaksan

Göçmaksan, which operates in the construction and construction machinery sector, was visited on 9 July 2018 within the scope of Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy. Göçmaksan manufactures machines for cutting and bending machines and light construction machines in the work and construction machinery sector. During the company visit, the legislation related to the sector, domestic foreign trade, competitiveness, human resources, economic and financial structure, stakeholders, technology R&D, innovation, sales and marketing related issues were discussed. 

In the meeting, evaluations were made about the past and future of work and construction machinery sector in Ankara and the problems and needs of the sector were emphasized.

Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy: Site visit to MEKA company

MEKA company operating in the construction and construction machinery sector was interviewed on 26 June 2018 by the Ankara Development Agency experts. During the company visit, the legislation related to the sector, domestic foreign trade, competitiveness, human resources, economic and financial structure, stakeholders, technology R&D, innovation, state supports, sales and marketing related issues were discussed.

ICT Working Group 1st Meeting

The first meeting of the Information and Communication Technologies Working Group, which was established under the Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy, was hosted on 8 August 2018 by Ankara Development Agency. Representatives from METU Technopark,  Bilkent  Cyberpark, Gazi Technopark, Ministry of Industry and Technology, Informatics Association of Turkey, TOBB Software Assembly  and representatives from the private sector attended to the meeting.

The meeting started with the presentation of Ankara Development Agency experts’ on the Regional Innovation Strategy and then continued with the presentation of the basic data of the Entrepreneurship Information System and IT sector experts of the Ministry of Industry and Technology. After the presentations, the participants discussed the strengths and weaknesses of the IT sector in Ankara, the opportunities that could be utilized in the future and the threats they face.

Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy: Site visit to Netcad company

Within the scope of Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy studies, Netcad company operating in IT sector was visited on 7 August 2018. Netcad working on Geographical Information Systems; application zoning plan, map production, parceling, cadastral, expropriation, such as land editing works, drinking water, sewage infrastructure projects, roads, dams, tunnels, earthmoving superstructure projects and 100% domestic software company. Netcad was the winner of the first 500 IT companies survey in 2017 category. During the visit, a presentation was presented to the sector and the company.

Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy: Site visit to Karel Company

Within the scope of Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy studies, Karel company operating in the IT sector was visited on July 11, 2018. Firm is mainly focused on communication, cloud, telecommunication, security, defense industry solutions and electronic production, such as the company operating in the industry 4.0 and digital transformation processes. During the meeting Karel’s production, employment, human resources, the effects of the new information was discussed.

Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy: Site visit to SNG Informatics

Within the scope of Ankara Regional Innovation Strategy studies, SNG Informatics company, operating in the IT sector, was visited on July 10, 2018. 90% of the company’s revenue comes from abroad, stating that they are publishing their games from Google Play and Appstore. Stating that public support for the game is very critical and advantageous, the company underlines the need to accelerate the functioning of the supports in order to increase the utilization rate.
